Sky City is a collective of multiple smaller cities within its municipality, and is the capital of the Sky Region. It is based on Kota Kinabalu - it's real life counterpart.

During Sky Chronicles I & II, Yandols spent most of his time in Sky City than Victoria. After becoming interested in Sky City, he moved there and started learning more about things and events that occured and occur on Sky. As one of the founding members Yandols was eventually elected to become part of the board members when the first abnormal occurance occured.

Sky City is a major tourist destination and a popular gateway for travellers visiting the region. Sky Park is located about 90 kilometres from the city and there are many other tourist attractions in and around the city. Sky City is also one of the major industrial and commercial centres of East Arasia. These two factors combine to make Sky City one of the fastest growing cities in Arasia.

History

The proposal of the Sky City Project back in 2009 was to create a city floating high above in the sky so high that it is impossible to see on land. The project was inspired by the floating town St. Sky on Victoria but usage of the same technology for a project of this scale was impossible. In January 2010 and the construction began on the following month.

Original plans was to only build Sky City instead of the entire Sky Region, but changes occured at some point and construction for parts outside of the Sky City area were accomodated.

Geography

Sky City is located on the west coast of the Sky Region and there are six islands off the coast of the city, the largest being Dreamsky Island with a population of about 800 people living there.

Flat land is at a premium in the city centre, and there is a strict limit to the height of buildings due to safety reasons. The original local plant life has largely disappeared, but several hills within the city that are too steep for building are still clothed with tropical rainforest.

Economy

Besides being the capital city, Sky City is also the main industrial and commercial center for Sky Region. The economy is dominated by the primary sector of industry. Historically, the secondary sector dominated the economy, but due to rapid urbanisation and economic development, this sector of the economy is slowly diminishing.
